Is it really passion, this feeling that I just can't quite explain
Or is it just the folly of an old man tryin' to play A Young Man's Game
But old men once were young men, and the feelings that they feel are still the same
The feelings of a young man, or an old man tryin' to play A Young Man's Game

The winter turns to springtime, and another year is added to the score
And the score keeps getting' higher, and it's higher than it's ever been before
And the warm days of the springtime bring an old familiar feeling, so it seems
Like the passions of the young men for the ladies in their arms, and in their dreams

But is it really passion, this feeling that I just can't quite explain
Or is it just the folly of an old man tryin' to play A Young Man's Game
But old men once were young men, and the feelings that they feel are still the same
The feelings of a young man, or an old man tryin' to play A Young Man's Game
